Our chickens are a mix of Warrens and Columbian Blacktails. Both species are small, docile and lay lots of eggs. The chickens are free range but we have to protect them from foxes and other predators so they are locked in at night-time. We keep all our chickens for their whole life, even when they stop producing eggs and lots of people like to work with them, especially collecting the eggs.
