Operations Manager - LYDBROOK

Working in line with the Trust’s values of kindness, respect, working together and individuality and closely with the CEO and senior team, the main purpose of this role is to:

  • Ensure a positive Health and Safety (H&S) culture and a safe environment for all clients, staff and visitors across the Trust
  • Support the Trust to meet all regulatory and contractual requirements in relation to H&S, and leading the internal H&S Reps committee, utilising external consultants as required
  • Lead the Trust’s training department, ensuring all staff are skilled and confident to meet clients needs, contractual requirements and develop career and personal progression 
  • Actively support the Trust’s sustainability agenda, driving forward agreed actions and positively seeking and implementing new ideas in line with Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) goals
  • Hold full operational responsibility for all projects that include planning and development of the building stock and land, creating rolling 5 year plans for each and fully manage the main maintenance team and external contractors

You will be responsible for the Trusts: fleet; business continuity plans; ensuring compliance with all safety certification; contracts and agreements with contractors; IT provision (working with specialist external contractors) and holding landlord responsibilities and HMO for two properties.   

Working strategically with the CEO you will be instrumental in the development of future plans, representing the Trust on various external workgroups, horizon scanning and reporting to the board as required.  You will also directly line manage three staff and will participate in investigatory and disciplinary issues as required.  This role is included in the Trust’s on call register.

Ideally you will hold NEBOSH or similar strategic H&S qualification and have held a similar leadership role within social care, and a working knowledge of legislation covering social care.  You will be confident using a range of IT software and have positive communication skills.  A recognised adult training qualification will be an advantage.  

You will be curious, confident and show empathy in all interactions, seeking practical solutions to problems as they arise.

  • £40,000-£45,000

Team Leader - COLEFORD

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Team Leader to support our clients at our residential home in COLEFORD, Forest of Dean.

We provide daily support within our homes for people with learning and/or physical disabilities. A full training package is provided, that includes The Care Certificate, along with the opportunity to progress to HSC Diploma 3 should you wish to progress your career.

We are based in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire with locations in Coleford, Lydbrook, Lydney and Ruardean.

Salary:

  • £13.05 – £13.46 per hour
  • £29 per night – waking night enhancement
  • £11.50 for a 7.5 hour bank holiday shift.
  • Equivalent of the minimum wage per hour for sleep in duties.

Bank Support Worker(s)

Required at all services.  £11.72 per hour, in addition you will receive a payment of £1.41 per hour (equivalent to 12.07% of your hourly rate) as payment for holiday under the Working Time Regulations 1998.

Under 18’s £9.37 per hour, in addition you will receive a payment of £1.13 per hour (equivalent to 12.07% of your hourly rate) as payment for holiday under the Working Time Regulations 1998.
