Accounts & Payroll Assistant - LYDBROOK

We are looking for an enthusiastic Full-time Accounts and Payroll Assistant to join our friendly team.  You may be a school leaver or an experienced accounts clerk keen to work within a busy office.  Your role will be to support the Finance Manager and wider team by undertaking the following tasks:

Finance:

  • Create sales invoices and post
  • Review purchase ledger invoices and post
  • Assist with procurement and customer enquiries
  • Preparing twice monthly supplier payments runs
  • Assisting with the preparation of Management Accounts
  • Assisting with month end processing and reporting
  • Credit control

Payroll:

  • Assist with the preparation and processing of monthly payroll as required
  • Assist with employee payroll queries
  • Assist processing payroll for small external organisations
  • Work with senior managers to ensure all relevant information is provided in a timely manner

Petty cash:

  • Issue petty cash and reimburse expenses within guidelines
  • Maintain petty cash records
  • Undertake regular reconciliation of petty cash account

Additional:

  • Undertake regular client and home finance audits
  • Maintain donations received accounts
  • General filing and other administrative duties
  • Assist with internal and external audits

Essential Experiences/Skills:

  • High standard of formal education
  • Computer literate, preferably with knowledge of accounting systems
  • Willingness to work in a fast paced and busy environment

Desired Experience/Skills:

  • Sound knowledge of accounting processes
  • Working knowledge of payroll and auto enrollment pension systems
  • Experience of working within a busy accounts department
  • AAT qualified or working towards
  • Previous experience using TAS accounts and Sage 50 Payroll
  • Experience in charity accounts

Attributes:

  • Good analytical and system interrogations skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work in a team environment, work under pressure, meet deadlines and work independently as required

Full time position – part time would be considered for the right candidate

Support Worker -COLEFORD

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Support Workers to support our Service Users in our Residential Service in COLEFORD.

At the Orchard Trust we respect everyone involved in the Trust, working together with a culture of openness and celebrating the individuality of our staff, volunteers and clients.

We provide daily support within our homes for people with learning and/or physical disabilities. We welcome experience, but this is not essential as a full training package is provided, that includes The Care Certificate, along with the opportunity to progress to HSC Diploma 2 & 3 should you wish to progress your career.

Salary:

  • £10.05 – £10.23 per hour(6-month probation rate £10.00)
  • Premiums – enhancements paid for waking nights
  • £11.50 for a 7.5 hour bank holiday shift.

Support Worker-LYDBROOK

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Support Worker to support our Service Users in our Residential Service in LYDBROOK. Full-time and Part-time positions available

Bank Support Worker(s)

Required at all services.  £10.00 per hour, in addition you will receive a payment of £1.21 per hour (equivalent to 12.07% of your hourly rate) as payment for holiday under the Working Time Regulations 1998.
