Support the Smallholding

The smallholding gives us a chance to allow people who normally receive care themselves to become carers for the livestock. There are all sorts of jobs, from collecting the eggs to mucking out the houses, keeping the hay racks topped up and even helping to trim their feet and sometimes giving them medicines. There is a job that is suitable for everyone and we provide the support to let our clients work outside doing meaningful activities that help us and the animals. We have a lot of experience in finding ways to support our clients on the smallholding and this was where the Orchard Trust first began over 30 years ago.
