Offa’s Dyke is situated on the outskirts of the village of Lydbrook, above the Wye valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The home sits on the edge of woodland and in close proximity to the Learning Centre and Orchards 1 & 2. Offa’s Dyke is a purpose built residence and is fully wheelchair accessible.

Offa’s Dyke comprises of 2 adjoining houses, Silver Birch and Oak House.

Silver Birch and Oak House are purpose-built homes which were completed in January 2013 providing wheelchair access, specialist equipment and hoists for people with learning disabilities, and profound and multiple disabilities.

There is also easy access to the following facilities:

  • A sensory garden

  • A smallholding with a variety of livestock, including goats, sheep, hens and ducks

  • A therapy centre consisting of a hydrotherapy pool and Rebound facility

  • Immediate access to a wheelchair friendly woodland walk

By recognising everyone as an individual with different interests and needs, we will support people to live the life they want.  Adopting a person-centred approach is fundamental to the ethos of The Orchard Trust, as it enables people to plan their daily lives and their aspirations for their future.
