Opened in 1989, No. 1 and 2 The Orchards are situated in a scenic and picturesque location above the Wye Valley; an area of outstanding natural beauty.
The Orchards consists of two semi-detached cottages with gardens and panoramic views of the local countryside. The cottages are situated on the same site as Offa’s Dyke and are a short distance from the Swim Gym, and The Orchard Trust Learning Centre with views over the Smallholding, and good access to woodland walks.
Each home has 3 bedrooms (including a ground floor bedroom with wheelchair access), all with en-suite facilities.
The Orchards provides care and support to adults, both male and female, with a learning disability.
People living at The Orchards are encouraged to be as independent as possible and to be fully involved in the running of their home. This includes participation in daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning and laundry. People are also encouraged to actively take part in the local community, whether that be through voluntary work placements or accessing local facilities.
