Residential placement at Offa’s Dyke

Offa’s Dyke is home for 14 people with profound physical and learning disabilities split into two seperate homes, Silverbirch and Oak House and is situated on our Stowfield site in Lydbrook in the beautiful Forest of Dean.  The homes were purpose built in 2010 providing a fully accessible home with overhead hoists and specialist bathing equipment and wetrooms.   The room is a downstairs room with direct access to the gardens.  The room has an overhead hoist which leads to an ensuite toilet and sink.  A separate bathroom and wet room are shared between 5 people.   It has a large living room, a dining room and a kitchen.   The stowfield site provides access to the day service, small holding, sensory garden, hydrotherapy pool and rebound centre, sitting within 18 acres of land.

Day Service clients at Stowfield.

We have a large site (several acres) where we offer both social and work-related activities. With emphasis on Person Centered Care we aim to offer a choice of group social activities such as art & craft, cooking, games and puzzles, T’ai Chi and other exercise as well as an opportunity to be involved with the running of our therapeutic smallholding.

There are also opportunities for Hydrotherapy and Rebound therapy in our SwimGym. These can form part of a negotiated Day Services package (both therapies involve an extra cost).
