I studied economics at University, which led to a 30 year career as a banker and Futures-Broker and ran one of the world’s largest Futures Brokerages for a while.
I mentored George Gordon-Smith, founder of The Orchard Trust, for a number of years and when he retired I joined the board of the Trust in 2006 so that my knowledge would not go to waste. I was chairman between 2010 and 2013.
I like people, reading, walking, and playing the guitar. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, but especially our children and grandchildren.
