Project update

Posted by tb on 28 September 2017

With thanks to the hard work of the Fundraising department and volunteers across the Trust we have updates on projects:

Following a very generous donation of £2000 received for the garden through or BTMyDonate page we have ordered a kinetic wind sculpture, a solar powered water pump to get the central water feature working again and a separate solar powered bird bath fountain for the garden along with some very exciting interactive outdoor panels.

The garden is looking lovely at the moment thanks to a lot of hard work by Jan our wonderful volunteer and the new features will add to the garden and make it a more rounded experience for all the people who use it

Work is starting on the Rabbitarium.

We have moved the ducks to their new duckery and can start work on the new rabbitarium, this will be a big, covered and fenced outdoor space where the rabbits can run free and service users can get in among them. The new space will mean that service users can interact fully with the smaller animals and help with their care.
Work has begun on clearing the old duckery thanks to Volunteers from GE Aviation to make way for the rabbits who will have a roof to keep the space dry and sheltered and refurbished fencing to keep them safe. We will also be refurbishing the shed alongside the space to hold their hutches and the food and equipment they need.
