Following on from the forest school visit by pupils of St John's School we had some beautiful thank you cards, some great pictures of the animals that the children saw and lots of hot chocolate! Great work guys and thank you for the lovely messages too.
January has seen the Learning Centre working in partnership with St Johns' School in Coleford to help them deliver the Forest School element of their curriculum. Forest School is designed to help children learn skills and develop confidence in an outdoor environment that includes trees.
On 12th Jan 2016 the second phase of the sensory garden took place, Scott Baine of the Rewild Project in conjunction with 10 students from RFDC studying support and outdoor education volunteered to move and lay 10 ton of dust to provide a top layer for the paths which will enable wheelchair access to the sensory garden.
Otto has been working hard and as a result, Dachshunds of Gloucestershire have chosen The Orchard Trust to be one of their small charities to receive donations from monies raised in 2016.

A big thank you to the Friends of Orchard Trust who have been fundraising for us this year and have been working with the homes on their wish lists.
Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us at the Christmas Carol service this year. It was lovely to see service users from all of our homes and friends and family.
A very successful morning was had last week for Activity Champions from the Forest of Dean, Cheltenham and Gloucester. The most recent Activity Champions Networking meeting was held in Hignham and was very well attended!
